While the weather may make it seem like winter is going to last forever, have no fear – spring is right around the corner! And with it comes a change in attitude, a change in wardrobe, and a change in makeup looks!

This spring, there are a ton of new and exciting spring makeup looks to try. Read on to find out our favorite spring makeup trends for 2022 and how you can try them out once the weather gets warmer!

Statement Blush

This spring makeup trend is all about the blush. Regardless of the color you choose, this trend is focused on making your blush bright and noticeable. Go for a coral color to make a statement or use a bronze for a more subtle look.

To take this trend up a notch, you can even try mixing your blush with your eyeshadow. We’re not only just talking about using the same color. Try taking your blush up over cheekbones, across your temples, and then over your eyelids.

Neon Everything

Neon is one of the hottest trends we’re seeing for this spring. It applies to eyeliner, eyeshadow, lips, cheeks, anything you can think of really. While it seems like this trend may have no rules, there’s one important thing to keep in mind.

If you go the neon route, try to limit it to one area of the face. A combination of neon eyes plus neon lips can look costume-y, but one of those two by themselves looks much more chic.

Extra Glossy Lips

One of the easiest spring makeup looks to achieve is the extra glossy lip trend. While matte lips have had their time to shine (or not), we’re leaving matte lips in the past and embracing as much lip gloss as we can physically get on our lips.

The glossy lip trend can be done with just a little shine, or you can incorporate some color too. Whatever route you choose to take, just be sure to slather on extra gloss so your lips look extra shiny.

Pastel Eyes

When it comes to spring eyeshadow looks, one of the top trends we’re seeing this season is pastel shadows and liners. You can incorporate pastels into your eye makeup in a multitude of ways.

If you’re looking for simple spring eye makeup, try going the more traditional route with a light pastel shadow spread up to your crease. You can also try something a little bit more daring with unique shapes or patterns using pastel eyeliner. Whether you’re daring or like to play it safe, there’s a pastel look for you!

Sparkle on Sparkle

This category of spring makeup looks is super broad, meaning that you can try a ton of different looks until you find what works best for you. The look consists of incorporating sparkle! How you do it is totally up to you!

You can apply metallic makeup to your eyes, cheeks, or lips. You can apply glitter to your chest and arms. You can apply crystals across, around, or under your eyes. Honestly, the options are endless and you can apply as much or as little sparkle as you’d like.

Exaggerated Wings

The last of our top spring makeup looks is focused on taking your eyeliner up a notch. Instead of just the normal cateye, try extending the wings of your cateye. Or make your cateye extra thick and bold. You can also do double winged eyeliner for a more subtle yet unique look.

Whatever eyeliner look you choose to try, remember that you’re going for something fun and different than the regular, ol’ cateye, so don’t be afraid to try something new. As a whole, these spring makeup trends aren’t going to work for everyone, so just give them a try and see if it’s right for you!
